Pocket Lab Assistant is a new software program for handheld and desktop
computers designed to help researchers working in the area of biotechnology.
The program features protocols which display the sequence of steps to follow
when performing experiments related to biotech research. Includes automatic
timers, solution converters and an array or tools and instruments that are not
available anywhere else on the market. The compact size of handheld computers
makse this solution ideal for laboratory use.

Project Manager
The Project Manager helps you keep all your projects organized in one place.
Under each Project, put all the information about experiments you've performed
perviously, and enter your plans for future expermients. You can search through
all of the projects by keyword, chemicals used, or by filtering according to the
experiment date.

My Experiments
My Experiments contains a list of all the experiments you are planning, or
previously carried out. Each experiment contains a customizable list of the steps
you perform for each experiment. If any step is missed an alarm will sound,
prompting you to complete the required step. Each time-dependent step has a
timer built-in for that stop, and notes can be added to any of the actions
performed to remind you of things you did during the experiment.

Protocol Database
The Project Manager and My Experments sections contain a Protocol Database,
consisting of a collection of standard experiment protocols typically used
in a lab. Just click "Create" and select from the list of protocol templates. The
templates may be changed and customized according to the goals of a particular
experiment. It's easy to add new protocols from the database, or you can quickly
create your own.

Solution Designer
The Solution Designer lets you create your solutions in moments, and
provides a record of whay you did for a particular experiment that's easy to find
at a later date. Use Solution Designer to calculate everything requied for
solution preparations. Just select the working concentration, chemical formula,
stock solution concentration or molecular mass of a compound. Al other parameters
are calculated automatically. As you create a solution, use the check boxes
to indicate whether a compound in the solution has been added. If you need to
prepare more solution than originally planned, just change the total amount.
